Krista Polvere joins Houndmouth and Frazey Ford for Melbourne shows!

Following her return from the Folk Alliance conference in Kansas City, USA in February, Melbourne Alt-Country/Americana artist Krista Polvere is going from strength to strength.

The title track from her new E.P. Devil In Me has been gaining significant airplay across Australia – and the music video for the song (a collaboration with the fast rising Yeti Boy Films) - was added to rotation on CMC on the day of release. The video is a startling piece of work – an intense, neo-psychedelic trip reflecting the songs theme of obsessive but ultimately hollow love. “'Devil in Me' is not about being a naughty women”, comments Polvere. “It's about an uncontrollable desire to be with a dysfunctional man.”

It’s already been an impressive month of March for Polvere. She received outstanding reviews to her opening set for international Americana icons Calexico at Hamer Hall and she has now been announced as the special guest for two more international touring acts.

On March 24 she’ll play with Indiana roots rockers Houndmouth and then on March 30 she’ll join Canada’s Frazey Ford. Both international acts are playing at Bluesfest at Byron Bay and both sideshows are at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club. These internationals join a long list of global artists that Polvere has played with including Ryan Adams, Ron Sexsmith and most recently Chicago’s revered troubadour William Fitzsimmons.

Devil In Me has been released in Australia and the USA on MGM and Polvere plans to return to the US later this year in preparation for the release of her self-titled album.
