Rising star DUA LIPA, the twenty-year-old, honey-voiced singer from London, has confirmed two club shows for July.

Currently in Australia on a whirlwind promotional tour for her new single Be The One (the video has already notched up more than 28 million YouTube views), Dua will return for a show at Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on July 13 and Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on July 14.

Be The One (through Warner Music Australia), a sublime slice of dream pop showcasing Dua’s raw and emotive vocals, has been impacting radio across Australia. The track recently hit the top 10 most Shazam’d tracks in the world and continues to climb the airplay charts throughout Europe, hitting #1 in 10 countries and Top 10 in 21 countries on iTunes – including Top 5 in Australia.

Dua was named as the MTV PUSH artist for April and to celebrate shot an incredible live performance of Be The One.

“UK pop’s next big obsession” – Q

Dua was born in London, and with her Kosovar father - also a musician - as primary influence, her musical upbringing was one of wild contrasts. “I’d be listening to Destiny’s Child, loads of hip-hop, Tupac and Biggie, while my dad would be nurturing me with Dylan and Bowie. It was such a mix up of genres, and I never knew exactly what type of music I liked, but I learned to be open to anything, as long as it was good.”

This early education gave Dua her passion and drive to become an artist herself and she has since immersed herself into her singing, songwriting and performance.

Dua will perform at festival stages in the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, Wireless, Secret Garden Party, Pukkelpop and many more.
