WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE - Return to Australia with New Show 'All Hail'

Following a hit run of shows two years ago, cult serial podcast WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE will return with its live incarnation to Australia for a second time in 2018, fresh from a 21-city tour of the US and Europe. The national tour of Welcome to Night Vale’s newest live show, ALL HAIL - starring Cecil Baldwin, with special guests and live music by Disparition - will open in Brisbane on Saturday, February 3, before travelling to Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

All Hail is a high-energy stand-alone story for long-time fans and newcomers alike, telling a mystery about the fan favourite character, the Glow Cloud, and features mind control, group chanting, and, of course, the local community calendar. Welcome to Night Vale is a twice-monthly serial podcast that has developed a loyal and dedicated following since its inception in 2012. Written by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor, it brings its listeners stories from the strange desert town of Night Vale in the form of a community radio show hosted by Cecil Palmer (played by Cecil Baldwin).

It is a rich and nuanced drama complete with local news, announcements from the Sheriff’s Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark-hooded figures with unknowable powers and cultural events. Welcome to Night Vale has become one of the most popular podcasts in the world. The live show began touring in 2013 complete with guest stars and Cecil himself performing previously unheard scripts that complement and enhance the constantly evolving narrative of the podcast, while still remaining funny and compelling for brand new listeners. They have played sold out shows in more than eleven countries. Don’t miss this incredibly unique form of theatre when it returns to Australia in February.
