Synapse (From Greek Syn = Together And Haptein = Touche, Seize; meaning connection), describes the zone of functional contact between two neurons. Touch the audience and make them "Feel" the music: Synapson's primary project since it formed in 2009 has been to unite French producers and multi-instrumentalists: Alexandre Chiere (keyboard, saxophone, beat and voice) and Paul Cucuron (drums, scratch, production and mixing).
Convergence is Synapson’s first album blending world music, hip-hop, house-funk and pop, in a celebration of eclecticism, curiosity and variety, a shining example of what Synapson can achieve today. This is electronic music that builds on actual songs, telling true stories, the kind of music you can listen to at home or elsewhere, as you will. Fired by ubiquitous tracks such as all in you feat. Anna Kova, a Russian-Spanish singer, Djon Maya Maï feat. Burkina Victor Démé, A Jeli From Faso, and Fireball feat. Broken Back, Convergence has already sold 40,000 copies and its tracks have been streamed over 50 million times, propelling Synapson to benchmark status on the French electro-pop scene. And it doesn’t stop there: they have also sold out their amazing tour through to end 2016.
The most creative duo of the minute is back with a new edition of their first album.
Convergence – deluxe edition features 5 extra tracks. An auto-remix of Fireball with Broken back, an auto-remix of Keep Me Hanging with Bernhoff, a new track with Victor Démé, and two other new tracks: going back to my roots (their version introducing Tessa B caused a sensation when performed on French TV Show Taratata), and the new single blade down, a peerless track with Tessa B.
